Winslade is an oozy, unctuous, continental-style soft cheese and the sibling of Tunworth. This Christmas, we’re bringing you a Limited Edition baking version, complete with a Damson & Fig Compote and presented in a reusable ceramic dish for effortless entertaining.

Encircled in a traditional spruce collar, Winslade gains a distinctive pine aroma that beautifully enhances its flavour. Delicately floral with gentle earthiness, it is mild, yet rich – indulgent without being overpowering – and melts into a spoonable, golden centrepiece when baked. 

Whether you are dipping crusty bread straight from the oven or sharing with the family by the fire, baking Winslade brings all the joy and theatre of Christmas to your cheeseboard and is set to be a star of the season! 

Winslade was originally created as a sibling cheese for Tunworth, also from the Hampshire Cheese Co.

Winslade Baking Cheese:
Energy: 1360kJ/ 328kcal, Fat: 26.5g, of which saturates: 18.2g, Carbohydrate: 3.6g, of which sugars: 0.1g, Fibre: 0.1g, Protein: 18.7g, Salt: 1.6g 

Damson & Fig Compote:
Energy: 685kJ/ 162kcal, Fat: 0.17g, of which saturates: 0.03g, Carbohydrate: 42g, of which sugars: 35.54g, Fibre: 2.2g, Protein: 1.1g, Salt: 0.6g 

Heating time 25 minutes (May vary depending on your appliance). Pre-heat oven to 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6. Remove the cheese from the packaging and place back into the ceramic dish. Place compote sachet to one side. Using a knife put a small cross in the top of the cheese, replace ceramic lid. Place the dish on a baking tray in the centre of your oven and bake until the cheese is molten. If cheese is not molten in the middle, place back in the oven for a further 2-4 minutes. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving. Serve with fig and damson compote. Do not reheat once cooled.

All of our cheeses are handmade in our Farmhouse Dairy in rural Lancashire. The surrounding fields are grazed by the cows who provide our milk, many of whom are looked after by extended family. Goats from another family farm just down the road, also provide us with fresh milk. We believe Lancashire and our surrounding area in particular make such a big difference to the quality of our cheese, alongside, of course the skill and experience of our wonderful team of cheesemakers.

Letterbox products are designed to fit through a regular letterbox. We post the products in accordance with APC timings based around the day you would like it dispatched, with 24 hour delivery.

We want your letterbox cheese gift to arrive in great condition, so to keep your gift as cool as possible on it's journey, we include an ice pack in your box.
