Trade Delivery Information

We offer two courier options for delivery: RDS and APC.

Please note, while RDS is a chilled courier service, APC is not. For orders shipped via APC, we include ice packs in the parcel to keep your items cool.

Both services aim for next-day delivery, but due to factors beyond our control, we cannot guarantee this timeframe.

To ensure a smooth delivery, please double-check that your address and contact details are accurate when placing your order. This will help prevent any issues with the couriers being unable to locate you.

Terms & Conditions

All orders must be placed through www.butlerscheeses.co.uk and paid for at the time of ordering. We have a minimum order value of £40, excluding delivery charges.

When placing an order, please select the preferred dispatch date—this is the date your order will leave our premises using your chosen delivery service. If you prefer to collect your order or arrange your own courier, please include this information in the notes section when providing your dispatch date.

We strive to process orders as quickly as possible, but ideally require 4 working days' notice. If your order is urgent, please contact us by phone or email, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If there is an issue with your order, please email hello@butlerscheeses.co.uk within 48 hours of collection or delivery.

Since you are purchasing directly from us, we dispatch all cheese with as much shelf life as possible. For minimum shelf-life information, please refer to the individual product pages on our website.

In the rare case that we are out of stock or encounter an issue with your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Delivery Options:

RDS and APC Couriers

We offer delivery through two courier services: RDS and APC. Please note that RDS provides a chilled service, while APC does not. For orders shipped via APC, we include ice packs to maintain product temperature during transit.

Both couriers aim for next-day delivery, but due to circumstances beyond our control, next-day delivery cannot be guaranteed. We do not accept liability for product temperature or condition once the order has left our facility.

Please ensure that your address and contact details (including email and mobile number) are correct at the time of ordering to avoid any issues with delivery. Couriers will not be responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect details.

Delivery via APC 

APC offers a 24-hour delivery service. The cost varies based on the number of cases ordered:

  • 1 to 9 cases £12 per location
  • 10 to 30 cases £20 per location
  • 31 cases and over – RDS (for pricing please see below)

 The above prices are inclusive of vat.

APC requires a signature on delivery, with delivery times typically between 8am and 4pm. You will receive a 2-hour delivery window via email or text. Should you require tracking information or proof of delivery (signature or image), please contact us.

APC reviews its pricing annually, and we will notify you of any changes in advance.

Delivery via RDS 

For 24-hour chilled delivery, RDS charges £100 per location (including VAT). RDS ensures that your parcel remains chilled until handed over, so ice packs are not included.

RDS requires a signature upon delivery. For any queries regarding the delivery signature, please contact us.

RDS also reviews pricing annually, and we will provide advance notice of any changes.

We are not responsible for the temperature or condition of goods once they have left our premises, and we cannot accept liability once your order is dispatched.

Delivery via your own courier 

You may arrange your own courier for collection. Please contact us in advance to confirm the number of boxes in your order, and send your courier's labels to hello@butlerscheeses.co.uk.

Our collection address is: Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, Wilson Fields Farm, Button Street, Inglewhite, Preston, PR3 2LH.

Couriers may collect from us between 6am and 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. For collection outside these hours, prior arrangement is required. Upon arrival, couriers should call reception using the number displayed on the wall, then follow instructions. They will need to provide your order number for assistance.

As with other delivery methods, we do not accept liability for orders once they have left our premises.

Collection of your order

If you prefer to collect your order, we are open for collections Monday to Friday, 7am to 2:30pm. For collections outside these hours, please contact us in advance.

When placing your order, specify the day you wish to collect, and we will ensure your order is ready. Upon arrival, head to the delivery bay, press the bell, and provide your order number for assistance.

Refunds 

As all our products are perishable, we do not accept returns or refunds.
