Trade Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for orders placed on Butlers Trade. 

All Orders are required to be placed on www.butlerscheeses.co.uk and paid for at time of ordering. We have a minimum order value of £40 excluding delivery.

When placing your order, we ask you to select the date you would like your order to be dispatched (this is the day that your order will leave us on your chosen service). If you’d prefer to collect your order, or arrange your own courier, please add this into the notes section when inputting your dispatch date.

We endeavour to turn your order around in the minimum time possible, we ideally require 4 working days’ notice. If your order is urgent, please call or email us and we shall do our best to fulfil your request.

If there is a problem with your order, please email hello@butlerscheeses.co.uk within 48 hours of collection/delivery.

As your purchasing direct from the source, all our cheese will be dispatched with as much shelf life as possible; however, should you wish to know the minimum amount of life that we can send your order with please see the individual product pages on our website.

In the unlikely case that we are out of stock, or there is a problem with your order, we shall contact you at the earliest possible occasion.

There are two options for delivery via courier, RDS and APC.
Please note whilst RDS is a chilled courier, APC is not. For orders sent via APC we will ensure ice packs are within your parcel(s) to keep your order cool.
Both RDS and APC are sent on next day deliveries however due to conditions out of our control, we cannot guarantee next day delivery. We do not accept any responsibility for goods temperature or condition once your order has been dispatched from ourselves.

If we are arranging delivery of your order, please ensure your address and contact details (including email address and mobile number) on your order are completely correct, so that the couriers cannot blame the address should they not be able to find you.

All allergens are stated on our website and individual cheese packaging.

Delivery via APC 

When you select APC, we will dispatch on their 24-hour service.

Delivery time frame, once left us can vary due to events outside of our control.

Pricing for APC depends on the volume of cases ordered. Prices are as follows:

  • 1 to 9 cases £12 per location
  • 10 to 30 cases £20 per location
  • 31 cases and over – RDS (for pricing please see below)

 The above prices are inclusive of vat.

When sending orders via our courier, APC, we are unable to accept any liability whatsoever once it has left us. 

Should there be an error or query with your delivery, we need to know within 48 hours of delivery by email. Any queries after this time cannot be resolved. 

We dispatch Monday – Thursday. For delivery we will give APC your email address and telephone number so that you can get a 2-hour time window of your delivery via email or text by APC.  Should you wish, we can provide you with tracking information when dispatched from ourselves. Should you wish to check the signature or image from APC’s proof of delivery, please contact ourselves.

We do not accept any responsibility for goods temperature or condition once your order has been dispatched from ourselves.

APC will require a signature on delivery. Delivery times via APC are usually 8am – 4pm.

APC review their pricing yearly, should there be a change in their prices, we shall give you enough notice of the change.

Delivery via RDS 

Pricing for 24-hour chilled delivery via RDS is £100 per location.

RDS is a chilled courier, therefore we shall not include ice packs as your parcel will never be out of chilled storage until it is handed to you.

For next day delivery via RDS, all shipments are £100 (inclusive of vat), for up to per pallet. RDS are also able to bring your cheese via a pallet.

We do not accept any responsibility for goods temperature or condition once your order has been dispatched from ourselves.

RDS do require a signature on delivery. Should you wish to check this signature please contact ourselves.

RDS review their pricing yearly, should there be a change in their prices, we shall give you enough notice of the change.

Once again, once your order has left us, we are unable to accept liability for your order.

Delivery via your own courier 

We are happy for you to organise your own courier for collection.

Prior to doing this, please speak to us to so we can confirm how many boxes your order will be packed into for your courier to collect and send your couriers label(s) to hello@butlerscheeses.co.uk.

Couriers are able to collect from us between 6am and 2.30pm Monday – Friday. Anytime outside of this by prior arrangement.
When they arrive with us, please advise them to head to the delivery bay and press the bell.


Please ask them to give us your order number and a member of our warehouse team will be able to assist in handing over your order.

When sending orders via your courier, we are unable to accept any liability whatsoever once it has left us.

Collection of your order

We understand that sometimes you need your order asap or you’re local to us. If either of these apply, why not collect your order directly from us.

We are open for collections Monday – Friday 7am until 2.30pm. If you would like to collect outside of these times, by prior arrangement only.
When placing your order please advise us of the day you’d like to collect and we shall make sure your order is ready for you.

When you arrive, please head to the delivery bay and press the bell. Please have your order number ready and a member of our warehouse team will be able to assist in getting your order.

Refunds 

As all our products are perishables, we do not accept returns or refunds.
