Over the past few years, our cheese Easter eggs have become something of a tradition.
They were bold, joyful and unmistakably us. And judging by the messages we’ve already received this year, they were loved by many of you too.
So we wanted to share an update.
Since officially opening our new cheese campus, we’ve entered an important new chapter. By bringing together modern technology with traditional farmhouse cheesemaking techniques, we’ve created the space for our cheesemakers to concentrate on what matters most: making exceptional farmhouse cheese.
As part of that, we’ve made the decision not to produce our cheese Easter eggs going forward.
It wasn’t an easy decision. Our eggs represented our pioneering spirit and our passion for breaking boundaries. Most of all, we loved the conversations they sparked at this time of year.
As we continue to emerge stronger since our fire, we’ve taken a careful look at where we put our time, energy and expertise. Every decision is guided by protecting our craft and investing for the long-term. That means giving our hard, blue and soft farmhouse cheeses - the range of speciality cheeses at the heart of our dairy - our full attention.
Our new campus allows us to nurture each cheese from beginning to end here on the farm, and it enables our team to focus on quality and consistency with every single cheese in our speciality range..
Whether you’re topping a burger with a Blacksticks Mega Melt as the weather starts to warm up, or enjoying Blacksticks Blue simply with blackcurrant jam and ginger biscuits; that opportunity to explore the versatility of our farmhouse cheese is unchanged. We love seeing it melted, shared, paired, passed around the table and enjoyed beyond a cheeseboard.
Our pioneering spirit hasn’t gone anywhere. We remain committed to championing British farmhouse cheese and encouraging more people to choose British cheese, not just at Easter, but throughout the whole year.
If you’re planning your Easter celebrations, you can explore our Easter Cheese Collection for plenty of inspiration to build a cheeseboard that feels really special.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
