Using traditional handmade methods, our Stratford Blue cheese it is crafted in open vats, then poured into individual moulds, turned by hand and matured under the watchful eyes of our cheese experts.

All of our cheeses are handmade in our Farmhouse Dairy in rural Lancashire. The surrounding fields are grazed by the cows who provide our milk, many of whom are looked after by extended family. Goats from another family farm just down the road, also provide us with fresh milk. We believe Lancashire and our surrounding area in particular make such a big difference to the quality of our cheese, alongside, of course the skill and experience of our wonderful team of cheesemakers.

Letterbox products are designed to fit through a regular letterbox. We post the products in accordance with APC timings based around the day you would like it dispatched, with 24 hour delivery.

Please note that one order will be delivered to one address. If you require delivery to two addresses then please place two orders.

We want your letterbox cheese gift to arrive in great condition, so to keep your gift as cool as possible on it's journey, we include an ice pack in your box.

Absolutely love this cheese!

"Bought some Butlers Farmhouse Stratford Blue cheese from Morrisons today, it caught my eye and looked interesting. Had some for lunch, and wow! I absolutely loved it. I love eating cheese and eat lots of different varieties, but this is now my favourite cheese. By teatime I had eaten the whole packet (150g). The texture and flavour are very creamy, with a mild and very satisfying flavour of blue cheese. I find the blue flavour in some blue cheeses to be overbearing, but this Stratford blue is beautifully balanced. I’m going to be buying this every week from now on! Very well done Butlers Farmhouse in creating this truly exquisite gourmet cheese!"

Creamy blue bliss

"Purchased your Stratford Blue yesterday in 'Tesco Finest' guise along with Long Clawson's '1912' Stilton. Two fantastic blues that graced the evening's cheese board. The Stratord is extremely creamy and moreish, while the '1912' has the sharper, saltier taste of Stilton, but they complement one another so well. Both are preferable to our (award-winning) local Cornish Blue, which I think is overrated. A great find! - thank you."
