Mrs Butler's, our classic Farmhouse Creamy Lancashire Cheese has been made at Wilson Fields Farm since day one. Mrs Butler's is matured for 3-5 months making it mild and creamy but with just enough acidity creating a delicious depth of flavour.

When making our Mrs Butler's Farmhouse Creamy Lancashire Cheese, the curds are allowed to develop their unique taste and texture over a slow make. They are then filled into individual moulds, by our master cheesemakers, and cloth bound in the traditional way before careful maturation. This is Mrs. Butler’s (or Gran as we like to call her) original recipe and as much a part of our history as the dairy itself.

Our Creamy Lancashire wedge is cut from a big round cheese - traditionally cheese is made this way - no edges to the cheese means even maturation and results in a fantastic flavour (plus you can roll it, if you are that way inclined).
Mrs. Butlers Creamy Lancashire is a very versatile culinary cheese that maintains a smooth consistency when melted and makes the best cheese on toast ever!
