Elevate Your Pizza Night with A Four Cheese Delight

Here at Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, we're firm believers that great cheese can transform everyday meals into gourmet experiences. Whether you're creating a banging burger, whipping up a creamy pasta, or adding a unique twist to your salads - we've got a cheese pairing for pretty much any meal.

This week, we're enjoying our take on the Four Cheese Pizza, featuring some of our favourites: Button Mill, Kidderton Ash, Blacksticks, and Mrs Butler's. Each cheese brings its own distinct flavour and texture, creating a mouthwatering masterpiece right in your home kitchen.

Whether you’re using a pizza oven or a standard home oven, this recipe will elevate your pizza night to a whole new level.

The Perfect Four Cheese Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Button Mill: Adds a creamy, soft texture.
  • Kidderton Ash: Brings a silky-smooth sweetness.
  • Blacksticks: Our show-stopping blue cheese for a rich, bold taste.
  • Mrs Butler's: A classic farmhouse creamy Lancashire cheese to round out the flavours.
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions for Pizza Oven:

  1. Prepare the Dough: Roll out your favourite pizza dough on a floured surface.
  2. Preheat the Pizza Oven: Get your pizza oven to around 425°C for optimal cooking.
  3. Add the Sauce: Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Arrange the Cheeses: We chose to arrange our four cheeses in four quarters, but you could also choose to mix them up together evenly across the pizza!
  5. Bake: Carefully place the pizza in your preheated pizza oven. Bake for about 2-3 minutes, rotating occasionally, until the crust is golden and the cheeses are bubbly and melted.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, slice, and enjoy!

Instructions for Standard Oven:

  1. Prepare the Dough: Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface - you could also use a pre-rolled base if you wish.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to its highest setting, typically around 260°C.
  3. Add the Sauce and Cheeses: Follow the same steps as for the pizza oven method.
  4. Bake: Place the pizza on a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheeses are bubbly and melted.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven, cool for a minute, garnish, slice, and enjoy!
